Data we collect
This site has no forms: we only receive your data if you contact us (text, WhatsApp, phone or e-mail) or stay with us. This covers your name, phone number and, where applicable, e-mail address, your dates and number of guests, and the content of our exchanges.
For guests who are not French nationals, French law requires hosts to have a police registration form completed (identity, date and place of birth, nationality, usual address).
Like any website, our server keeps a technical log of each visit: IP address, date, page requested and browser.
Why, and on what legal basis
Answering your enquiries and managing your booking and stay: performance of a contract or of pre-contractual steps (GDPR article 6.1.b).
Keeping our accounts and completing police registration forms: legal obligations (article 6.1.c).
Keeping the site secure and working through technical logs: legitimate interest (article 6.1.f).
We do no marketing and no profiling, and we never sell or rent your data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: at most one year after our last exchange.
Booking data: five years after the stay (limitation period), then ten years for accounting records only.
Police registration forms: six months, as required by law.
Server technical logs: six months.
Who receives it
Your data is used only by SCI Le Rond de Pin. It passes through or is stored by our technical providers: the website host, 1984 ehf (Iceland, a European Economic Area country) and, if you e-mail us, Google (Gmail).
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. Bookings made through a rental platform are governed by that platform’s policy.
Police registration forms are disclosed to the police only at their request.
Transfers outside the European Union
The site is hosted in the European Economic Area. E-mails sent to our Gmail address may be processed by Google in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework recognised by the European Commission.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and loads no third-party resources (fonts, maps, videos), which is why it shows no consent banner.
The only cookie used is a technical session cookie, set only when the owners log in to the administration area. It is strictly necessary and exempt from consent.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise these rights, write to us at the address above; we reply within one month.
If, after contacting us, you feel your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
